     Como istmos emergentes en el mar, se elevan hacia el cielo los edificios de Ginza, (en ese improbable ejercicio de transformación constante que define Tokyo) uniendo al siglo XXI con la tradición milenaria del palacio imperial, (no muy lejos de allí). Tokyo Mayo 2023 Like emerging isthmuses in the sea, the buildings of Ginza rise towards the sky, (in that improbable exercise of constant transformation that defines Tokyo) uniting the 21st century with the millennial tradition of the imperial palace, (not far from there).    Doblé aquella esquina pensando que quizá me equivocaba, que la dirección era otra y que debía desandar el camino para volver al punto de partida. Y sin embargo, presentí que aquel era el sentido correcto, y que tomarlo, de alguna forma, definiría mi destino. Tal vez por eso, mi cuerpo salió despedido al otro lado de la calle; tal vez por eso sentí sobre mí todo el peso de lo antes vivido; tal vez por eso mi última visión fue el morro humeante de aquel coche y el patinete corriendo solitario calle abajo, como un objeto inanimado que hubiera cobrado vida, mientras mi cuerpo, ahora vencido, se hundía ya en el asfalto. I turned that corner thinking that perhaps I was wrong, that the direction was different and that I should retrace the path to return to the starting point. And yet, I felt that this was the correct meaning, and that taking it, in some way, would define my destiny. Maybe that's why my body was thrown across the street; Maybe that's why I felt the full weigh
